Pray Justin Bieber never has anything to do with this creepy Justin Bieber-related news.
Two fugitives arrested last month, one in Vermont and the other in New York, had plotted to kill the teen pop idol and several other people, according to New Mexico's KRQE News 13, which reports that investigators believe the two men were conspiring with a convicted murderer they met in prison.
The St. Albans Police Department in Vermont confirmed to E! News that Mark Staake, 41, and his nephew, Tanner Ruane, 23—both wanted in Albuquerque on charges of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree and conspiracy to commit aggravated battery with a deadly weapon—were picked up by State Police in Vermont and New York, respectively, and are now being investigated in connection with the alleged Bieber conspiracy.

"There is no credible evidence to suggest that any individual(s) in the greater St. Albans area were or are in any imminent danger presented by Ruane's brief stay in St. Albans," police said, also noting that they had identified the intended victims but were not releasing their names.
In response to the macabre news, Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, told Us Weekly: "We take every precaution to protect and insure the safety of Justin and his fans."
Meanwhile, according to KRQE, the convicted killer who hatched the alleged plot is the one who ultimately detailed it to detectives.

Per KRQE, Dana Martin, who's serving two life sentences for rape and the killing of a 15-year-old girl, told investigators that he had recruited Staake, who in turn recruited Ruane, to kill two people he knew in Vermont—but that the centerpiece of his plan was the murder (via strangulation with a paisley tie) and castration of Bieber and his bodyguard.
New Mexico State Police are now investigating the alleged criminal conspiracy.

Les Misérables is going to sing. But Lincoln is going to vie for more votes.

Nominations for the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced Thursday in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Steven Spielberg's historical drama topped all films with seven nods, including ones for Best Motion Picture Drama and stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field.

Ben Affleck's Argo and Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained picked up five each.
Presumed Oscar front-runner Les Mis hit a speed bump in the directing category but otherwise did OK. It's up for four awards, including Best Comedy/Musical and acting honors for Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway.
The Motion Picture Drama race pits Lincoln against Argo, Django Unchained, Life of Pi and Zero Dark Thirty—not an unusual suspect in the bunch.
Golden Globe snubs—and surprises
Les Mis is the lone musical in the Comedy/Musical category. It's up against The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, neither of which it'll probably face at the Oscars, as well as Moonrise Kingdom and Silver Linings Playbook, both of which it probably will.
TV nominees include The Big Bang Theory, Girls and the typically unacclaimed Smash, all up for Comedy Series, and Breaking Bad and Downton Abbey, among the Drama Series nominees.

Game Change, HBO's take on Sarah Palin and the 2008 presidential election, leads all TV candidates with five nominations. Emmy favorite Homeland is up for four.

Former soap actor Scott Evans -- younger brother of Chris Evans -- got busted for attempting to buy drugs off an undercover cop ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us Evans was arrested Tuesday evening when he tried to score narcotics from an LAPD officer posing as a dealer.

Evans -- who played Officer Oliver Fish on "One Life to Live" a few years back -- was booked at 6:15PM for attempt to possess a controlled substance ... a felony. He bailed out around 12:30AM.

It's unclear what drug Evans was trying to buy.

Evans reacted to the bust with a Facebook post early this morning: "Most ridiculous night of my life in LA so far. At least I made it a year before getting arrested."

Famed jazz pianist Dave Brubeck -- the man behind the famous song "Take Five" -- has died.

Brubeck's manager said the music icon passed away this morning due to heart failure, while on his way to a cardiology appointment. He was 91.

His birthday is tomorrow.

Brubeck was a living legend -- having written several jazz staples like "In Your Own Sweet Way" and "The Duke." The Dave Brubeck quartet recorded "Take Five" all the way back in 1959.

In 1854, Brubeck was the first modern jazz musician to be featured on the cover of Time magazine.

11:22 AM PT -- A Target spokesperson confirms Forrest has been fired from the store ... but explains, "His departure was unrelated to the video footage that has appeared online."

The rep adds, "Out of respect for the privacy of this individual, we cannot discuss the reasons for his departure."


The Target employee who was PIMP SLAPPED in the face by Katt Williams says he's been FIRED from his job ...even though HE was the one who was attacked.

TMZ broke the story ... Forrest Liebenberg was having a calm conversation with the comic in the Northern California store when Katt slapped him in the face for no apparent reason. Liebenberg didn't strike back ... instead he pulled out his phone and called for help.

After the incident, Forrest told CBS13 he'd been terminated from his job with no explanation -- saying, “They weren’t very clear, but it is obvious to me that it was based on this incident.”

He added, "Maybe I was a little uninformed about how seriously the situation was with Target, but obviously it is pretty serious."

Forrest says he doesn't know if Target believes he's the person who leaked the security footage to TMZ. He also claims he is NOT the leaker.

We reached out to Target for comment -- so far, radio silence.

Mitt Romney went on MASSIVE (and fiscally responsible) shopping spree at a Costco near his home in La Jolla, CA this week ... stocking up on all sorts of goods ... including a product MADE IN CHINA!!!

Besides the paper plates, dixie cups, wrapping paper, V8 juice drinks, pretzel snacks, Bisquick and bottled water ... Mitt and his wife Ann also purchased a model car made by the Maisto company (probably a gift for one of his 18 grandkids ... sorry for spoiling Xmas).

TMZ spoke to a rep for Maisto who confirmed their products are manufactured in China ... before they're shipped to the distribution center in Fontana, CA.

Of course, Mitt railed against China during his bid for the presidency ... claiming the country is manipulating currency and stealing American manufacturing jobs.

We tried to find some American-made toy cars that Mitt could've bought instead ... but we couldn't ... not even Hot Wheels ... they're manufactured in China and Mexico.

Though we are still bitter we failed to land a role in the new movie version of Les Miserables (we auditioned for Fantine but they said we were TOO thin), it is clear from reading about the cast’s awesome nights out that we simply are not cool enough to run with this crowd. Don’t believe us? Just look at the below list of some of the amazing times these kids have spent together. They really are all best friends!

• Russell Crowe (yes, Russell Crowe) organized a karaoke night for the entire cast the night before filming began.
• And this is what Anne Hathaway had to say about karaoke night; ”You have not lived until you see something as adorable as Amanda [Seyfried] wearing a green Kermit suit rapping to Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’.”
• Speaking of Seyfried, the cast sang “Happy Birthday” to her Sunday after the film’s NYC premiere while Hugh Jackman gave her a lapdance. And even Anna Wintour was smiling.
• Anne Hathaway got to eat oatmeal paste throughout filming!

We spoke to the guy in the jersey ... who tells us Lachey and his buddies -- all die-hard Bengals fans -- had been talking trash to him about the jersey for most of the 2nd half of the game.

The Chargers fan says Lachey made one particularly offensive comment about Olshansky that crossed the line ... and that's when the fan's wife shot back to Nick, "Well, he lasted longer than your boy band."

We're told Lachey flipped out and called the wife a "f**king b*tch" ... along with "a host of other profanities."

Tensions exploded ... and the Chargers fan says Nick lunged towards him ... grabbed him by the throat and shoved him to the ground. The fight can be seen in the footage obtained by TMZ.

As we previously reported, stadium security quickly responded and ejected Nick and his buddies. The Chargers fans were NOT asked to leave.

After the incident, Nick went to Twitter and BRAGGED about the situation -- saying, "Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals."

He later acknowledged the altercation ... tweeting, "i simply don't appreciate someone turning around and putting their finger in my face. call me crazy, but that deserved a reaction."

We're told the Chargers fan plans to file a police report against Lachey.

Nick's rep tells TMZ, “This was a verbal exchange between sports fans of opposing teams that went too far. While Nick isn't proud of what happened, he did not choke anyone or use defamatory language to any women at the stadium -- which the video tape clearly supports."

The rep also says police interviewed Nick outside the stadium and released him without charges.

If history repeats itself, "Haylor" will enjoy a few more weeks of dating bliss before things go sour, Swift writes a break-up anthem and moves on to the her next unsuspecting hit maker.

Mike Tyson isn't mad at Angelina Jolie's fiancé for allegedly sleeping with his ex-wife Robin Givens back in 1988. Saturday, the retired boxer recounted walking in on the World War Z star and Givens in bed together during an interview with "In Depth with Graham Bensinger" on Yahoo! Sports.

"I was getting a divorce. I was going to my lawyer's office to divorce her that day but I wanted to sneak in a quickie," Tyson said. "This particular day, someone beat me to the punch…I guess Brad got there earlier than I did. I was mad as hell. You should've saw his face when he saw me."
This isn't the first time Tyson's spoken out about this purported betrayal: Earlier this year he recounted the events to Conan O'Brien on his eponymous talk show, and he also told Global Grind about the incident in harsher terms.

So while he certainly hasn't forgotten, he seems to have forgiven. "I hope Brad doesn't think I'm mad at him," Tyson said. "I'm not mad at this guy, no way."

Kate Middleton is pregnant! No, seriously, for real this time.
While speculation of Prince William's royal heir kicked into high gear last week, St. James's Palace this morning confirmed the worst-kept secret in England, and announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their first baby.
The signs were all there—check out the hints of Kate's pregnancy!
"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," the palace said in a statement this morning.
No doubt intending to keep this highly public news as private as possible, there was no word on whether Kate and Wills are expecting a boy or girl, or a possible due date for the little royal, though as an announcement has been made, she's clearly past her first trimester.

The palace did announce that Kate was "in the very early stages" of her pregnancy, however, and today was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London due to suffering hyperemesis gravidarum—in other words, acute morning sickness. She's expected to remain in the hospital for just a few days and will rest at home after.
"The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news," the palace said.
As is the world at large and those in favor of the continuation of the monarchy, we're guessing. Congrats!

OMG!!! Drama at Target with Actor/Rapper/Comedian Kat Williams!!??!!

Well ....  You heard it here!!  Kat Williams laid the "Smack Down" on an employee at a Target location!!  See the video below!!  For those of you who don't know who Kat Williams is.... He is an actor/Comedian/Rapper and is best known for his "work" in the movie "Friday after Next" where he played "Money Mike" .... OMG!!  This is Cray Zay !!

What did the 5 fingers say to the face? Ask the guy who got PIMP SLAPPED by Katt Williams.

Katt wasn't done after leading cops on a crazy three-wheeled chase through Sacramento on Sunday -- because moments later, he hit up a Target ... where he belted an employee IN THE FACE ... and TMZ has footage of the face-to-hand contact.

There's no audio, so we can't tell what the argument is about -- but by the looks of the employee's body language before the wallop (placing his hand on his chest) the guy wasn't looking for a fight.

Then out of nowhere Katt winds up and slaps him in the face -- at which point the employee pulls out his phone and, according to an eye witness, he calls police.

Video of the aftermath surfaced on the Internet this week, showing Katt making his getaway in an electric cart ... before police arrive. We hate to say it, but it's hilarious.



According to sources at the store, Katt then ditched the electric cart and got back on his three-wheeled motorcycle. He was not arrested.

We spoke to a rep for the Yolo County DA's office, who tells TMZ, the case is currently under review ... and charges have not yet been filed against the comedian.

So far, no word from Target or Katt's people.
