"THE VAMPIRE DIARIES" HAS GONE GAY!!??!!??

OMG!!! "THE VAMPIRE DIARIES" HAS GONE GAAAAAAAY! GURRRRRRL  WERQ IT !!  We love us some gays!! If you haven't heard yet.... the FABULOUS show "The Vampire Diaries" has gone gay with it!!  Check out this hot write up from www.newnownext.com , compliments of Dan Avery!!  XOxo  enjoy babes! love ya!

“The Vampire Diaries” Gets Its First Gay Character

vampire diaries
The Vampire Diaries is one of the most homoerotic shows on basic television, but the supernatural series has never had an out gay character—until now. E! Online is reporting that when the show returns in 2014, the show’s cast include Luke, a gay teen of the handsome and sarcastic variety.
Oh great, another sassy gay character!
A new hottie is enrolling at Whitmore after winter break! And he’ll be spending time with Caroline! Except he’s so not into her in that way as Luke, handsome and sarcastic, is gay. And also happens to have a sister on campus, one that he will do [or sacrifice] anything to protect.
If Luke has to be the bitchy gay sidekick, we pray producers give him at least the hint of a sex life. I mean its bad enough we have to drool over Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder  without any hope of a love connection

Lady Gaga, RuPaul Looking Good, Feeling Right With “Fashion” Performance:

rupaul lady gaga thanksgiving.jpg
Lady Gaga’s Thanksgiving special was… well, it was. There were moments of pure joy (Gaga kiking with the Muppets) and other moments that had us cringing (Gaga’s crotching-baring outfit during “Venus”).
But “Fashion,” Mother Monster’s duet with Mama Ru, was like an extra slice of pumpkin pie without the calories.

Miss America crowns 1st winner of Indian descent

And the Miss America winner is ...

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Nina Davuluri is first Indian-American Miss America
  • Davuluri trained with famed Bollywood choreographer
  • The 24-year-old wants to be a physician
  • Some tweets focused on winner's heritage
(CNN) -- She's the second consecutive New York beauty queen to take the Miss America title, but she's the first Indian-American to wear the national crown -- er, tiara -- atop her perfectly coiffed head.
"I was the first Indian Miss New York, and I'm so proud to be the first Indian Miss America," Nina Davuluri said after she won.
Davuluri's resume goes considerably deeper than her heritage, however.
The 24-year-old Fayetteville, New York, native was on the dean's list and earned the Michigan Merit Award and National Honor Society nods while studying at the University of Michigan, where she graduated with a degree in brain behavior and cognitive science.
Her father, who emigrated from India 30 years ago, is a gynecologist, and Davuluri said she'd like to become a physician one day as well.
"During her year as Miss America she will serve as spokesperson for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) this year as she travels to Washington, D.C., to work with the Department of Education," according to a Miss America statement.
She also is passionate about healthy lifestyles after battling obesity and bulimia when she was younger.
Davuluri's platform was "Celebrating Diversity Through Cultural Competency." For the talent portion of the competition, she performed classic Indian dances fused with Bollywood moves.
She has studied the Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam styles of dance, and in preparation for the Miss America contest, she worked with famed Bollywood choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan.
Miss California Crystal Lee was first runner-up, and Miss Oklahoma Kelsey Griswold was second runner-up, while Theresa Vail, the tattooed, bow-hunting, Chinese-speaking Miss Kansas, won the online viewers' poll.
Despite a night of firsts, a tired theme emerged following Davuluri's victory: Racists took to Twitter to lambaste the pageant for picking an Indian-American. They were none too kind to Davuluri herself, either, with one particularly uninformed tweeter calling her a Muslim.
Something similar happened when Rima Fakih was crowned Miss USA in 2010. Fakih is of Lebanese descent, and many were quick to try to link her to the militant group Hezbollah.

The photos were made from fashion photographer Bert Stern's original negatives from his June 1962 assignment for Vogue.

A rare portfolio of photographs from Marilyn Monroe's last sitting is up for grabs to the highest bidder.
Freeman's auction house in Philadelphia estimates the limited-edition portfolio of 10 photos, made from fashion photographer Bert Stern's original negatives from his June 1962 assignment for Vogue, could fetch $10,000 to $15,000 when it goes on the block Sept. 10.
The photos will be on view to the public starting Sept. 6, said Aimee Pflieger, head of the century-old auction house's photography division.

Stern, who died in June at age 83, took more than 2,500 photos of the Hollywood icon over three days at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles. The 20-by-20-inch portfolio photos are from the first day, when Stern and Monroe were alone before the arrival of a cadre of Vogue staffers, and project a feeling of spontaneity and playfulness that stands out from the others.
"He brought a turntable and speakers and three cases of champagne,'' Pflieger said. "The feeling you get from the photos is they're having a great time.''
Six weeks after her session with Stern, the 36-year-old screen siren was found dead in her home Aug. 5 of an apparent drug overdose. A half-century later, she remains one of the 20th-century's most enduring sex symbols.
Stern's photos were a sensation, partly because they were taken right before Monroe's death and partly because they included the first nude photos of Monroe since 1949. Many of the nudes show the star posing with diaphanous scarves, paper flowers and pearls in bright but diffuse natural light that gives the photos a dreamlike quality.
"She was beautiful and untouched,'' Stern said. "It was as though she were just beginning.''
Monroe is often described in the photos as projecting an aura of damage and desperation, but Pflieger disagrees.
"We project our own thoughts onto them when we look at them,'' she said. "To me, they're soft, beautiful, clutter-free images just filled with light ... they give you a real sense of her personality and playfulness.''
Other Monroe photos are being auctioned the same day, including more from the personal collection of the portfolio owner, who the auction house said wishes to remain anonymous.
Also going on the auction block are nearly 100 photographs from the corporate collection of cosmetics giant Avon's headquarters in New York City. The photographs are all by female artists from the 1910s to the 1990s _ from the little known to the prominent Cindy Sherman and Louise Dahl-Wolfe _ and focus on themes of beauty through the eyes of women.
Part of the proceeds from Avon's auction will benefit the Avon Foundation, which advances efforts related to breast cancer research and combating domestic violence.

DID YOU MISS AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL!!??!!??

WELLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! Here is a little story on what went down last night on the premiere of America's next top model!!!  Sooooooo amazing that they have men .... women... and even transgender contestants this year!!!  We have come so far and it is just great to see the world embracing everyone, regardless of their differences!!!  WerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrQ!!   Bloop Bloop!!   Check it out!  XOxo

“America’s Next Top Model” Recap: Smizing Throught The Tears

Meet the Guys & Girls of Cycle 20 - Part 1
The Tyra Banks Vanity Nightmare Project, a.k.a. America’s Next Top Model, has returned for Cycle 20. Despite keeping the problematically formulaic game and narrative structure, which relies heavily on commercial breaks  and humiliation as the main sources of dramatic tension, this season introduced a slight twist: Both males and female persons are competing for the title of Top Non-Gender Specific Corporate Spokesperson!
Join me as I put my Masters in Liberal Studies to use and deconstruct the Butlerian gender politics of this particular post-modern hyper-simulacrum. Just kidding! My Masters degree is completely useless, so let’s just recap the dumbest shit people do instead. In fact, considering this show has been on for 20 damn seaso—I mean cycles—we can pretty much break down each stupid-ass thing the contestants do into a variety of equally predictable modular categories. Let’s test out this thought experiment, shall we?
Useless Piece of Advice Offered by a Judge: Tyra meets Marvin, a Bronx native from an economically unfortunate background. Marvin explains to the judges that when he was growing up he was embarrassed by his father, a lowly janitor. In a moment of self-help inspired nonsense, Tyra commands this tearful boy-toy to Meet the Guys & Girls of Cycle 20 - Part 1scream, at the top of his lungs, “MY DAD IS A JANITOR!!” What this has to do with being a good model I’m not clear on.
Bold-Faced Lie the Judges Tell to Give the Show Artistic Credibility: Johnny Wujek, the lispy, silly-hatted wonderboy who replaced Mister Jay last season, tells the kids that the first runway show will be “avant-garde.” At this particular moment, part of me wished that Mathew Barney and Bjork would descend from the sky wearing dresses made of squids. Instead the twist was that the models had to kiss each other at the end of their runway walk. And then Marcel Duchamp turned over his grave and threw up on himself.
Obvious Sob Story: What would ANTM be without some poor disadvantaged or marginalized individual expressing their sadness in an awkwardly claustrophobic confessional? Because this was the first episode of this cycle, we had plenty of lacrimation. But the winner of sobbiest sob story goes to Virgg, a beautiful transgender woman who left the competition because of health issues due to her hormone treatments. Virgg, in your short time on this show, you kissed a straight man and made him question his sexuality. For that we salute you. Can’t wait to see you in Cycle 21.
Petty Cat-Fight: This one actually took me by surprise: I expected the women to be the biggest offenders in this category, however the men proved to be the bitchier bitches this week. Socially awkward Chris H. does not understand homo-sociality, so he goes around rochambeau-ing the other male mannequins. Hipster Phil (because he has a beard, and fingerless gloves, and ripped jeans; so Brooklyn!) Meet the Guys & Girls of Cycle 20 - Part 1doesn’t take kindly to this male bonding ritual and throws a drink in his face and gestures feverishly until the camera cuts to commercial. Later,  we get a shot of Hipster Phil looking angry when Chris H. is chosen to move on in the competition. Will they be our Sharon Needles and Phi Phi O’Hara?
Useless Male-Model Moment: There was literally a minute-long montage of these gorillas asking “Where the girls at?” before arriving at the competition. We get it. You’re straight. In fact, so straight, it’s pretty hard to tell any of you apart. Except for femme-queen Cory (right) and that tiny gay who didn’t get any screen time. Hey Cory, you seem pretty cool, now go slay those breeders on the runway.
Just Plain Old Stupid-Ass Thing Someone Said: We all know models aren’t known for their smarts. So every episode there will be at least one person saying something mind-bogglingly idiotic. The winner of this Alexandraweek’s JPOSATSS award goes to Ke$ha wannabe Alexandra (right), who, when explaining her personal history, said this: “My family’s just been through so much […] My dad had his entire company but then the economy happened and we lost everything.” Let me say that again. The economy happened. It just happened. That’s how economies work, they just happen. Okay.
Well that should be it for this week. The next episode airs August 9, and we have so much to look forward to! But mostly, I just can’t wait to discover who has an illicit gay-porn past and see what other lace-fronts Tyra receives from the Dida Ritz Wig of the Month Club!

ELLEN TO HOST THE OSCARS!!?!!

Yay!!!  Love us some Ellen!!!!  Are you as excited about her hosting the Oscars as we are~!~!~!???~!~!    Wow!~!  Loves it!!  Check out this writing from www.newnownext.com  !   Enjoy!!  XOxo

BREAKING: Ellen DeGeneres To Host 2014 Oscars

ellen-degeneres-boy-scouts-gayIt is a known fact that gays make the best award show hosts: Who knows more about Hollywood trivia? And you just know Bruce Vilanch saves his best jokes for us homos.
So it’s not exactly a shocker that Ellen DeGeneres has been tapped to host the 2014 Academy Awards. (And I for one don’t have the sads that Seth McFarland won’t be singing about boobs again.)
Ellen, of course, did a bang-up job the last time she hosted the Oscars, in 2007. “I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time,” DeGeneres said, joking that “you know what they say – the third time’s the charm.”
The Oscars, which will air on March 2, are also being produced by power gays: Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
“We are thrilled to have Ellen DeGeneres host the Oscars,” said Zadan and Meron jointly. “As a longtime friend, we had always hoped to find a project for us to do together and nothing could be more exciting than teaming up to do the Oscars. There are few stars today who have Ellen’s gift for comedy, with her great warmth and humanity.”
Okay, but next time we want Jane Lynch.

Judge this: Simon Cowell impregnated his good friend's wife ... and she's already nearly 3 months along ... this according to reports.

Us Weekly broke the story, reporting Cowell is expecting a child with New York socialite Lauren Silverman, the estranged wife of Cowell's close friend Andrew Silverman, a real estate mogul.

36-year-old Lauren and her husband have been in the middle of a divorce for a while ... but still haven't severed the cord.

Lauren is reportedly 10 weeks pregnant. FYI, Simon is 53 and this would be his first child.

Lauren's got talent too ... she's pretty damn hot. And it's safe to say Simon has a type. Just check out his recent exes, Mezhgan Hussainy and Terri Seymour.

8 INSANE HABITS OF THE FIT?!?!?

WEERRRRRRRQ! Is there ever insanity associated with being fit?!?!  What are the habits of the fit? Do you ever see any of these habits in you during your daily routine? Check it out! You may be surprised!!!  Hey, there's nothing crazy about wanting to be sexy!!  yayah!!!

8 Habits Of Insanely Fit People

That's because those simple habits work. And these ultra-fit examples are proof.
Fit People Don't Diet
michelle obama
Michelle Obama, champion of nutrition and physical activity (and owner of some of the most inspiring arms in America), knows that obsessing over every calorie is no way to live. "The truth is, being a healthy woman isn't about getting on a scale or measuring your waistline -- and we can't afford to think that way," she wrote in Women's Health in 2010. "Instead, we need to start focusing on what matters -- on how we feel, and how we feel about ourselves."
They Find A Way To Enjoy Exercise
bob harper
Fitness is not one-size-fits-all -- and the fittest people understand that and dedicate the time to finding an exercise routine they actually enjoy. Bob Harper, devoted CrossFit fan, takes it to the next step: "For me, working out is a form of therapy, it's cathartic for me, it's a good stress reliever," he told Parade in 2013. "I know that when I go to the gym I am taking care of myself and I know I'll feel so much better afterwards."
They Don't Compare Their Bodies To Other People's Bodies
beyonce
Bow down to Queen Bey! The singer/actress/mama/superstar's weight has fluctuated for a number of movie roles, but she knows where she's most comfortable -- and accepts it. "I feel best when I'm not really thin and not really heavy, when I'm still curvy," she told SELF. "I really believe that everyone is supposed to be different, and whatever is a natural weight for you is usually what looks best."
They Get Enough Sleep
jillian michaels
Jillian Michaels, tough-as-nails trainer of Biggest Loser fame, considers a good night's sleep her secret weapon. Get "as much as you can," she told Spry Living: "Sleep is critical for a strong immune system, metabolism, anti aging -- the list goes on and on." And she's right: Skimping on sleep ups your risk for a number of serious health conditions. Plus, even just an extra hour of sleep can help your athletic performance. "I really do prioritize my sleep," she told Health magazine. "I get seven to eight hours a night."
They Cheat
jessica biel
Even the most fit know that a healthy-eating plan needs a little wiggle room. Jessica Biel values a "cheat" day: "When I'm working and I eat healthily all week, I then give myself one day -- usually Sunday -- when I eat what I want," she told Glamour UK. "You have to, otherwise your mind goes a little nutso."
They Make Fitness A Priority
laila ali
We're all busy, but if you want to be fit you have to make time to work for it. The most fit people strike a balance between work and family obligations, social lives and exercise. In fact, it may be what differentiates the fittest folks from everyone else, boxing champ Laila Ali told Ebony:
I do my best to work out five days a week. There are times when I can only get in three days a week because I am traveling or just need rest due to a hectic schedule. But working out is always a priority and if I fall off due to my schedule, it is not long before I get back on track. People who are fit are the same as anyone else. The only difference is their level of commitment. If looking good and being fit was easy, everyone would do it! Most people don't want to put in the work or make the sacrifices needed in order to be fit.

They Eat Breakfast
sanya richards ross
"I never miss breakfast," track superstar Sanya Richards-Ross told HuffPost. "If I do I am the most grumpy person in the world." She's one of many high-profile breakfast lovers and onto to something more than a mood boost: Breakfast eaters have more energy, lower cholesterol and are leaner and all-around healthier than people who skip a morning meal.
They Find And Appreciate Support
fergie josh duhamel
Sometimes it's a significant-other-turned-workout-buddy. Other times it's a family member who knows not to push that second helping of dessert. But the fittest people know that a strong support system will help them stay on track in their health-minded efforts. One prime example: Fergie and hubby Josh Duhamel. "We motivate each other," Duhamel told PEOPLE. "She pushes me, and I push her. It's something that we've always done for each other, whether it's working out or in our life together. We're compatible in that way."

VITAMIN WATER SCANDAL WITH COCA-COLA!?!?!?

WOW!~! Were we born yesterday ???  haha  Chances are ... if it sounds to good to be true..... that it probably is!!!  Anything that tastes AMAZING ..... is definitely full of sugar!!  XOxo  No worries ! Geeeeesh ....  why would someone think that Coco-Cola would, all of the sudden, start making a "Healthy" beverage.....  when they have made billions off of unhealthy ones??   Tick tisk folks ....  XOxo

The Dark Side of Vitaminwater

Now here's something you wouldn't expect. Coca-Cola is being sued by a non-profit public interest group, on the grounds that the company's vitaminwater products make unwarranted health claims. No surprise there. But how do you think the company is defending itself?
In a staggering feat of twisted logic, lawyers for Coca-Cola are defending the lawsuit by asserting that "no consumer could reasonably be misled into thinking vitaminwater was a healthy beverage."
Does this mean that you'd have to be an unreasonable person to think that a product named "vitaminwater," a product that has been heavily and aggressively marketed as a healthy beverage, actually had health benefits?
Or does it mean that it's okay for a corporation to lie about its products, as long as they can then turn around and claim that no one actually believes their lies?
In fact, the product is basically sugar-water, to which about a penny's worth of synthetic vitamins have been added. And the amount of sugar is not trivial. A bottle of vitaminwater contains 33 grams of sugar, making it more akin to a soft drink than to a healthy beverage.
Is any harm being done by this marketing ploy? After all, some might say consumers are at least getting some vitamins, and there isn't as much sugar in vitaminwater as there is in regular Coke.
True. But about 35 percent of Americans are now considered medically obese. Two-thirds of Americans are overweight. Health experts tend to disagree about almost everything, but they all concur that added sugars play a key role in the obesity epidemic, a problem that now leads to more medical costs than smoking.
How many people with weight problems have consumed products like vitaminwater in the mistaken belief that the product was nutritionally positive and carried no caloric consequences? How many have thought that consuming vitaminwater was a smart choice from a weight-loss perspective? The very name "vitaminwater" suggests that the product is simply water with added nutrients, disguising the fact that it's actually full of added sugar.
The truth is that when it comes to weight loss, what you drink may be even more important than what you eat. Americans now get nearly 25 percent of their calories from liquids. In 2009, researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health published a report in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, finding that the quickest and most reliable way to lose weight is to cut down on liquid calorie consumption. And the best way to do that is to reduce or eliminate beverages that contain added sugar.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola has invested billions of dollars in its vitaminwater line, paying basketball stars, including Kobe Bryant and Lebron James, to appear in ads that emphatically state that these products are a healthy way for consumers to hydrate. When Lebron James held his much ballyhooed TV special to announce his decision to join the Miami Heat, many corporations paid millions in an attempt to capitalize on the event. But it was vitaminwater that had the most prominent role throughout the show.
The lawsuit, brought by the Center for Science in the Public Interest, alleges that vitaminwater labels and advertising are filled with "deceptive and unsubstantiated claims." In his recent 55-page ruling, Federal Judge John Gleeson (U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York), wrote, "At oral arguments, defendants (Coca-Cola) suggested that no consumer could reasonably be misled into thinking vitamin water was a healthy beverage." Noting that the soft drink giant wasn't claiming the lawsuit was wrong on factual grounds, the judge wrote that, "Accordingly, I must accept the factual allegations in the complaint as true."
I still can't get over the bizarre audacity of Coke's legal case. Forced to defend themselves in court, they are acknowledging that vitaminwater isn't a healthy product. But they are arguing that advertising it as such isn't false advertising, because no could possibly believe such a ridiculous claim.
I guess that's why they spend hundreds of millions of dollars advertising the product, saying it will keep you "healthy as a horse," and will bring about a "healthy state of physical and mental well-being."
Why do we allow companies like Coca-Cola to tell us that drinking a bottle of sugar water with a few added water-soluble vitamins is a legitimate way to meet our nutritional needs?
Here's what I suggest: If you're looking for a healthy and far less expensive way to hydrate, try drinking water. If you want to flavor the water you drink, try adding the juice of a lemon and a small amount of honey or maple syrup to a quart of water. Another alternative is to mix one part lemonade or fruit juice to three or four parts water. Or drink green tea, hot or chilled, adding lemon and a small amount of sweetener if you like. If you want to jazz it up, try one-half fruit juice, one-half carbonated water.
If your tap water tastes bad or you suspect it might contain lead or other contaminants, get a water filter that fits under the sink or attaches to the tap.
And it's probably not the best idea to rely on a soft drink company for your vitamins and other essential nutrients. A plant-strong diet with lots of vegetables and fruits will provide you with what you need far more reliably, far more consistently -- and far more honestly.

CBS AND TIME WARNER CABLE IN A TIFF ??!!??

Wow!  Could it greed ???  Or, could it be stupidity???  Well, you be the judge!  Without CBS on Time Warner ......   Would there be a Time Warner??  Or, better yet .....  Would CBS ever recover?   Check this out! XOxo

After brief blackout, CBS and Time Warner Cable resume talks

Time Warner Cable briefly pulled CBS owned properties
A notice Time Warner Cable showed subscribers when it briefly pulled a CBS-owned channel from its system. (July 29, 2013)
The tense negotiations for a new distribution deal between CBS and Time Warner Cable turned bizarre Monday night as the pay-TV distributor started to pull down networks owned by CBS, only to stop the process after a few minutes.
Around 9 p.m., Time Warner Cable alerted the media that it was pulling down channels owned by CBS including KCBS-TV Channel 2 and KCAL-TV Channel 9 in Los Angeles, KCBS-TV in New York and the cable network Showtime.
Time Warner Cable said in a statement that the "outrageous demands" by CBS forced it to remove several of its networks and local stations from its lineups. "We offered to pay reasonable increases, but CBS’s demands are out of line and unfair – and they want Time Warner Cable to pay more than others pay for the same programming," the company added.
PHOTOS: Cable versus broadcast ratings
"We're at war with Time Warner Cable," CBS Chief Executive Leslie Moonves said after a reporter showed him Time Warner Cable's statement during at a party the network was throwing at the Beverly Hilton to promote its fall television season.
But the war was short-lived as Time Warner Cable subsequently put out a statement that the channels had been restored at the request of CBS.
CBS then issued a statement that said negotiations with Time Warner Cable had resumed.
Although squabbles between programmers and distributors are fairly common, seldom does it reach a point that a signal gets taken off the air, especially in big markets such as Los Angeles and New York.
But as programmers become more aggressive by seeking higher fees from tight-fisted distributors, more blackouts are likely. The Federal Communications Commission typically prefers not to weigh in on such matters, although there have been calls from Congress to overhaul the so-called retransmission consent rules that allow broadcasters such as CBS the right to negotiate for carriage fees.
Consumers, of course, can still receive the CBS signal over the air for free with an antenna. Some CBS content is also available online. "Under the Dome," for example, can be seen on the Amazon Prime streaming service, although a subscription is required.
CBS is seeking a big increase in distribution fees for its stations, which Time Warner Cable is resisting. CBS, the most-watched TV network, argues that it is undervalued compared to cable channels that have lower ratings but collect higher distribution fees from pay-TV operators.
Media analyst David Banks of RBC Capital Markets said in a recent report that CBS is looking to increase the fee Time Warner Cable currently pays from less than $1 per-subscriber, per-month to a figure approaching $2 in the first year and with subsequent increases in later years.
