Bette Midler and Pink To Perform At 2014 Oscars
As if host Ellen Degeneres wasn’t enough, The Oscars just got a little more gay by adding LGBT allies and icons P!nk and Bette Midler to their line-up. The two will be performing live during the esteemed awards show on Sunday, March 2nd.
The news was announced over at Deadline and confirmed by the two stars on Twitter:
This is not the first time Midler has appeared at the Oscars, although it will be her first time performing. She has previously been nominated for a Best Actress in a Leading Role award for her roles in “For the Boys” and The Rose.”No word yet on what songs the two diva’s will be singing. Other performers of the night will include Karen O, Idina Menzel, U2 and Pharrell Williams, each performing their respective nominated Original Songs. There will also be a special tribute to the classic The Wizard of Oz.
